ARCON CONSULTANCY At Arcon we can call on a wide range of skills to assist clients with a range of tasks Equipment Specification and Purchase Options We do not supply equipment, but we do provide a service for clients so that their purchasing programme is made with a complete understanding of the specifications needed for the equipment as well as the reasons supporting those specifications. This can be for a single workstation or scanner, through to a complete network for a production site. We can also provide a project management service with options for quality checks on installations. Production Supervision Onsite or remote, we are often asked to assist with settling in new systems - operators and /or equipment - and optimise the quality of the finished publication. This is in addition to our normal telephone support following courses. Customised Spreadsheets We undertake to customise Excel (or other) spreadsheets for specialist applications for our clients. We support these with training for the client so that they understand the product and can operate it confidently. Customised Databases We build customised databases for a wide variety of tasks, including image databases, databases for database publishing (catalogues etc), job tracking, manufacturing processes, financial analysis etc. These may then be published in hard copy format, directly or via QuarkXPress, InDesign or FrameMaker, or as a web document/catalogue etc Network Analysis A full analysis and monitoring service is available. A detailed map of your system with the parameters for each node databased can be constructed quite quickly. A powerful tool for management as well as IT/IS divisions.
