Module 2: Introduction to Dynamic Database Links
In this module, the three applications, ASP, JSP and ColdFusion, will be introduced, but normally only one used for worked examples. The choice of application is to suit the attendee(s).
The concepts of dynamic pages
ODBC compliancy
ASP, JSP and Coldfusion.
Creating and editing database connections for (select one of ASP/JSP/ColdFusion) applications
Creating a connection for UltraDev use.
Defining a recordset
Introduction to session variables, application variables and stored procedure server objects
Dynamic text, images and form objects
Displaying records from a database

Module 3: Database Links
Normally, choose one of the three applications, ASP, JSP and ColdFusion as a basis for this course.
Searching databases
Adding new database records, editing records, deleting records
Security — restricting access to sites
registration, login.
Display format and printed output format. Browser limitations.
Session variables, application variables and stored procedure server objects (II)

Module 4: Special Topic
Advanced UltraDev is most readily taught with a specific project or type of project involved. This is done with prior consultation with the client. Projects can include, but are not restricted to, interactive web product catalogues, online ordering and commission tracking for sales reps, online story entry for reporters, through to ecommerce in general.

Module 5: System setup
A training/consulatative module to cover setting up the server with PWS/ASP/JSP/Coldfusion according to the configuration required.
